This course is designed to present two basic attitudes towards drawing - first, that of drawing as preparation for larger works or ideas, and second, that of drawing as an end in itself. Drawing: Visual Thinking 2 will build conceptually on Drawing: Visual Thinking l, but will place greater emphasis on experimental processes, independent problem solving, and the development of a personal vocabulary. This course explores color theory and two-dimensional composition through consideration of content, context, and audience. The course provides a sequence of projects that investigate the use of color, image and design via both traditional and emerging media. Explores three-dimensional and time-based work. Projects utilize traditional sculpture media and digital technology to explore contemporary understandings of form, structure, space, time, materiality, site and performance. This course is specifically oriented for students who have little or no formal art instruction. It is created to assist students in the development of their own artistic potential and awareness of visual culture. A range of processes and materials will be explored through a variety of projects.

Currently the proud new owner of Studio One Hair Design as of January , Amanda continues to provide clients with a great experience with each visit to the salon. She is very involved in the day-to-day operations, while maintaining a vast client base. Amanda comes from a long line of hairdressers, so naturally, hairdressing is in her blood. Born and raised in Kingston, NY, she grew up in an artistic atmosphere, and desires the creativity that doing hair gives her. Amanda joined the Studio One team in summer , and specializes in bridal hair DreamCatcher Hair Extensions and other formal styling. This is the area in which she gets most creative, however, Amanda also does hair cutting, color, nails, and waxing.
