Was going through my engine stash and found a brand new Super Tigre Documentation shows both the stunt and combat versions. Looked inside the cylinder and confirmed the piston was a flat top. Question is do I have a combat or stunt engine? Regards, Brew Note : Plain bearing engine. If baffled, stunt version and gets better fuel mileage. Also the combat model was made with and wihout ballbearings. Stunt models do not have them Ed. Motorman Trade Count: 0 Admiral Posts:

The invention of the Glow Plug, by Ray Arden in , created nothing less than a revolution in model engineering. Fuelled by a mixture of nitromethane and methanol, the modern Nitro Engine Glow Plug has a platinum-iridium coil, that is initially heated using an electric current from a "Starter" to ignite the fuel and start the process. From this point, the heat produced from compression and combustion keeps the engine running until the flow of fuel is cut off or simply runs out. When it comes to choosing an Engine for a used RC model you found on eBay or at a local garage sale, you may need some guidance, not only on the engine, but the type of tail pipe and carburettor it may need. In this article I give some basic detail on what you need to look for, depending on the form of your model Car, Truck, Airplane, Boat etc , explaining the different requirements each form has to have.
