Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom for the Nintendo Switch is a direct sequel of Breath of the Wild and sees us return to its open world version of Hyrule. Our Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom walkthrough will take you through every main quest the game has to offer. While the beginning of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is more linear when compared to Breath of the Wild, it soon opens up and allows you to explore Hyrule freely. We recommend following the main questline up until you get the Paraglider before you properly start adventuring across Hyrule since this item is vital to your journey. If you haven't done so already, you'll now need to obtain the Master Sword by completing two quests, Trail of the Master Sword and Recovering the Hero's Sword:.

A world as huge and filled with adventure as Hyrule has all sorts of things going on that might cause anyone, even a legendary swordsman, to get lost. And this time around, it's twice as big with both the sky and a vast underground to explore. This guide will help direct you to each of Link's main quests from beginning to end, including exploring great sky islands, investigating phenomena in various regions, delving through dungeon temples, discerning the dark mysteries of the Depths, and defeating tough bosses. It can be undertaken at any point and in many different orders — or avoided in favor of exploring the expansive and altered open world in search of new Shrines, taking on numerous Side Quests, or uncovering secrets deep underground. Be sure to use our Main Quest guide to help you get back on track if you happen to lose your place, or aren't sure where to go next. Note that the sections are divided up below in terms of the Main Quests that you get while playing. However, many of these quests — like the order you complete dungeons — can be done in any order. Almost all of the Main Quests are technically optional in one way or another, and some will provide more benefits than others on the road to defeating Ganondorf and finding Princess Zelda. See the sections below for a recommended route, featuring essential paths to each of the main quest regions. There are 60 Side Adventures and Side Quests. You can view the entire list below, and click on a link to learn more about it and how to complete them. Similar to Side Quests, there are also 31 Shrine Quests.

The wait is finally over — The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom is finally here, and your brand new adventure starts off in a rather unfamiliar place — the Great Sky Island. This area acts as a tutorial for all four of Link's new abilities and is the perfect setting to get you reaccustomed to the open-world nature of Hyrule. We'll be showing you how to make it through the tutorial section of the game. We'll keep this as spoiler-free as possible, though this guide will include a few location names, so keep that in mind. After an intro sequence where you don't really do much , Link will wake up in the appropriately-named Room of Awakening with a brand new arm and a rather funky-looking Master Sword.

The temple itself is pretty small, but the puzzles can be brain scratchers and the boss is no joke. Once you have unlocked the Water Temple as a fast travel location, if you wanted to leave and grab more food and other material, you can do that freely without having to worry about trekking through a lengthy island again. We recommend having food, splash fruit, and arrows on-hand. Below, we list the valves in order from left to right, but you do not need to do them in any specific order.
