Yet another zombie survivors

When players first boot up Yet Another Zombie Survivors , they will be met with the option of either starting a game or looking at their achievements, but another menu that players can access right from the beginning is for their upgrades. The reason developers Awesome Games make this so noticeable rather than hiding the upgrade system somewhere in-game is because they're incredibly important for building a character in a specific way since each of them offers buffs and enhancements that can completely change how effectively a character can take down the zombie hordes. Players will be able to earn upgrade points by simply playing the game, but it should be noted that more of them will be earned the longer the player manages to stay alive, so it makes going for those lengthy runs incredibly rewarding and worthwhile. There's a very nice progression system tied to this as players will be able to unlock each row of upgrades after unlocking the previous row, though while there are many to choose from, there are a few upgrades that really should be prioritized as soon as possible due to their effectiveness and viability. It might not make surviving the endless hordes easier to begin with, but this is still one of the very best upgrades for the long term, especially since leveling up will drastically enhance a character's stats such as their health and attack damage, which will be needed for completing the many challenges spread throughout the game that can net the player more rewards. Not only do the zombies throughout a run become noticeably faster the more time passes, but they also become far more durable and capable of withstanding a lot of damage , so having a higher firing rate is always going to make surviving just a little bit easier. The obvious downside to this is it will mean the player burns through ammo extremely quickly, but luckily, there are several ways to get around this. Healing in Yet Another Zombie Survivors can be incredibly tricky, with most players simply relying on life-steal abilities or a medic to keep them safe, but by far the most reliable way to ensure survivability is by spending a few points in the Reptilian Blood upgrade, which will allow the player to regenerate health over time. This does mean that in order to make the most out of the ability, it should be used by players who are at least familiar enough with the game that they can comfortably dodge and avoid enemy attacks so that the healing can work, but it's nonetheless still a very welcome addition that will fit into just about any build. Alongside having their unique weapons, each class in Yet Another Zombie Survivors is also equipped with two abilities that help define their character and playstyle, which can be enhanced in the middle of a run. Many of these abilities are designed to wipe out small groups of zombies so that the player can have a quick breather, but for them to remain effective for the entirety of a run, it does mean that the player will need to ignore other buffs that pop up to always choose the one that enhances their abilities. Power Metal completely negates this issue by keeping the abilities powerful while also allowing the player to experiment with other builds as they are free to choose some of the other cards that will randomly pop up during a run. However, if the player does decide to further upgrade their ability damage while also having the Power Metal upgrade, it can make abilities like the Engineer's Electrocute and Arrow Rain by the Huntress capable of wiping out entire hordes in just a few seconds, so it can work well either way. Since Yet Another Zombie Survivors was released, Awesome Games have constantly been updating the game to try and reach that perfect balance of fairness and fun, but one thing that has been drastically nerfed over the last few months is the critical hit rate.

What is this mystery buff and why does it matter? Yep, Happiness is a run-specific stat in Yet Another Zombie Survivors that basically means luck in every other game. Happiness determines how often health and protection drop. The only way to increase your Happiness in Yet Another Zombie Survivors is to open yellow chests that randomly appear throughout the map and choose that buff from your given options. The higher your Happiness, the more likely you are to find health and protection items during your run. If you experience a notable difference when choosing Happiness, you might consider choosing it again in future runs. As with any zombie apocalypse game, the cast of characters that players choose to face the hordes with is an important decision in Yet Another Zombie Survivors. Players will only be able to recruit a maximum of three out of the current six survivors on each run, and the only one they will be guaranteed to get is the survivor that they choose to lead, unless they only have the three starter survivors or reroll until they can recruit the exact group that they like. Thankfully, there are plenty of distinguishing features between each character to help inform players' decisions. Yet Another Zombie Survivors is currently in early access , and an additional three characters are expected to be added. The current six still offer plenty of variety to gameplay.
