Anyway a mansion in the middle of the desert. Too peculiar to be real so it had to be another dream sequence. You all know what that means…. After saving her life Urara had fallen in love with Akari. Sue me. On another note if I had it my way I would hook up Urara and Shino.

It had a rough start, which traces back to episode six, and I felt certain plot points were given too much attention, which bogged down the whole storyline. Episode 7 gave us a conflict between Aria and Kinji. Aria wants to believe that Durandal indeed does exist, even though she has no proof of it. So up until now this Durandal may only be a rumor, or maybe an urban legend. Grocery, maybe, but not somewhere too extravagant like a department store. This triggered certain events which lead us into this intimate scene between Kinji and Shirayuki. Of course, not too long after that, we now witnessed the first strike of Durandal. Shirayuki was lured by the assassin into a secret warehouse, followed by Kinji who just lost track of her, but coincidentally, Kinji was being secretly followed by Aria. Indeed, Hidan no Aria encompasses the essence of the cop drama, where one follows another, but also another one follows that one that followed the other. The next events then follows to episode 8. Durandal grabs Shirayuki as she we now know that Durandal is a not a he, but a she, based from the eyecatch, which is the first image of this post escapes from Kinji and Aria, and triggers an inflow of huge currents of water into the building. Kinji and Aria then proceeeded to pursue Durandal. They later found Shirayuki chained in a pole, and they decided to split ways so one can follow Durandal while the other tries to untie Shirayuki before the gush of water catches up. Unable to unlock the chains Shirayuki was tied to, Kinji has to resort to his last option — to go into Hysteria mode or boner mode as I call it to increase his lockpicking skills.

It seems that Shino is not the only one who is interested in Akari anymore now that Urara have feelings for her too. Now that Akari defeated Urara in the Quartet test and saved her by using a special power during a freak accident, it seems that Urara has a change of heart and now finds her cute to the point that she wants her as her own. Still, I have to admit that Urara kind of come off bit as a sadist in her dream. From the looks of it, it seems that Urara wants to make Akari her friend. Aside from giving a bunch of roses with an invitation, it seems that she also threw a party for her to not only celebrate her promotion to D rank, but also to become her friend, something that Shino feared. As for the challenge, I have to admit that the action is slightly better than the fifth episode now since the duel between Shino and Urara was a sword fight. In the end, it seems that Shino won mostly because she responded before Urara while Akari saves a girl, who accidently fell off an edge.

After the idea of having an Amica contract a senior-student mentorship program with Aria is brought up, Akari submits a request form attempting to establish said contract. Her classmates and friends do not expect Aria to accept Akari's request, mainly because of the girl's strict selection process, but to everyone's surprise, Aria gives Akari a chance through a test, which Akari miraculously passes! However, Aria will not officially make Akari her Amica until Akari meets her standards. Training under Aria will be no easy feat, as she has to concurrently manage her relationships with her friends.
