Many shows have come and gone since the turn of the 21st century and several of them have instilled in audiences' hearts more than most others - one such show was the hit NBC comedy Parks and Recreation. The world has dearly missed Leslie Knope and the rest of the Pawnee Parks and Recreation department since the show concluded back in , with audiences continuing to stream it religiously to this day. By the end of season four, fans had fallen in love with the quirky characters and the small town they lived in, and season five continued to deliver the merriment. One of Leslie's best traits was that she never shied away from any task - no matter how small or how large. In this episode, Leslie comes to the conclusion that there aren't enough women in government, with the worst department being sanitation in terms of gender discrimination.

This season consisted of 22 episodes. Season 5 focuses on Leslie Knope Amy Poehler and her staff at the parks and recreation department of the fictional Indiana town of Pawnee. Although not having an overarching storyline like Season 4, this season details the aftermath of Leslie's role as a Councilwoman in Pawnee, and her rivalry with councilman Jeremy Jamm Jon Glaser. Portions of the season premiere "Ms. Knope Goes to Washington" and later episode "Leslie vs. April" were shot in Washington, D. Elmo Steak House in December
