Many consider Cataclysm to be the first 'current-age' WoW expansion, and with that marker came a different philosophy on DPS class design. Here's a productive tier list of every DPS class in Cataclysm so you can be ready for when the classic version launches. Cataclysm raid content was made considerably more difficult compared to Wrath of the Lich King. This is why the best classes have strong AOE, consistent damage up-time, and significant survivability. WoW Cataclysm Classic will begin life on Patch 4. With utterly devastating single-target and AOE damage, coupled with its utility, the Fire Mage reigns supreme over all others. All Hunters received a resource overhaul, with Mana being removed in favor of the new Focus system, effectively removing their resource limitations as a ranged class. Survival Hunters, in particular, received so many upgrades to their core gameplay that they were largely considered to be overpowered for most of the expansion. If you're looking to be at the top of the DPS meter, pick this class spec to play. This was a massive win for all Hunters, and it was especially so for the Marksmen Hunter due to how much of a Mana guzzler it was. Without the limitation of a limited resource, the exceptionally high-damage Marksmen Hunter has no trouble dishing out pain at the safety of long-range. Throughout WoW's history, Shadow Priests have always been an extremely strong class spec, and that is no different in Cataclysm. Shadow Priests during Cata have a tool for every job, and it is this insane versatility, coupled with their high damage in every scenario, that puts the class on the top of the food chain for DPS. Coming from Wrath of the Lich King, Affliction Warlocks maintained their exceptional combo of having high single-target damage along with ease of damage up time due to a focus on DoT Damage over Time spells.
Dungions wasnt even released.
Oh wow. I have a few 80s leveled. Idk, take your pick. Sub rogue was good then, boomkin druid was also good, mage in frost for PvP, the arc mage in PvE and PvP, feral druids also good, prot warrior for RBG FCs, fury warrior for RBG and arena group PvP fights and for WPvP, Arms warrior for best 1v1 and top single target macro burst, BM and Surv hunter for the level 19, 39, 49 twink brakcet, ret paladin for the 60 twink bracket, Sub rogues are total leet sauce then they get a really good rework, the shams as well are okay. Subs can follow up with assas as well, BUT sub in Cata is total leetsauce. Warriors are a bit the wild horse.

Forgot your password? World of Warcraft has never been perfectly balanced, and Dragonflight is no exception. Some classes are better than others at the high end for raiding, and inevitably, a meta will exist. This ranking is based on the viability and strength of the various DPS specializations for the second season of raiding in Dragonflight. Disclaimer: This list will be updated as new tuning and class changes come out over the course of the season. Patch Our analysis provides an estimate of how the current raid meta will be impacted, but it may require further tweaking in the coming weeks. This tier list is entirely based on DPS viability for the new raid in Patch The primary traits we are looking for have not changed and are what you would expect for raiding content. Mainly, we care about single-target damage; some burst cleave or AoE, and then defensive capabilities on a raid-wide or individual scale.

The list. Related: Is World of Warcraft down? Phase 1. Tried some normal DF raids the other day, just to see what was up. Bane of Doom and Drain Soul hit like a truck, and they got the most benefit off the crit and haste changes to DoTs. However, while they might excel at Single-Target, Cleave, and AoE Encounters, their damage output is not yet that insane at the beginning of the expansion, as their true potential unravels later on. So while the spec is still extremely strong, it is harder to play than its Wrath of the Lich King counterpart. However, their overall playstyle suffers a loss when it comes to AoE encounters as their overall rotation gets even more complicated as proper DoT management and special cooldowns require a high skill cap. Avarage DPS you assholes. Melee: Paladins bcz of bugged gurthalak procs - Arms warrior bcz of bugged execute - Enhancement shamans RDPS : SV Hunter Other RDPS are meh with respect to super bugged melee dps classes I also saw u like to play frost or unholy dps and combat rogue - just dont bother they cant compete with the other mdps classes with end game gear. Overall Performance : The raw amount of damage the spec can deal, in single-target, cleave, and AoE encounters.

I happen to like games that let players be creative and define new unexpected metas. Another huge change for Affliction Warlocks is their overall survivability, especially with the new Soulburn: Drain Life effect and Fel Armor that now heals you based on all the Single Target Damage you deal. The main issue with the Chilled and Frozen effects is that they are not as useful in Raid Encounters when compared to Dungeon Encounters. I think Ret and Spriest are up there too. Tried some normal DF raids the other day, just to see what was up. In terms of utility, Fury Warrior grants the same general utility spells that are available for all warriors with only two unique effects that they grant to a raid comp. Sadly, Fury Warriors see a complete downfall in Cataclysm, with each warrior enthusiast favoring Arms Warriors instead. Here's a screenshot showing top meters for Morchok, Zon'ozz, Yor'sahj and Hagara. Being a cooldown-focused class, the Ret Pally can suffer a bit in the sustain DPS department if fights last too long or are too short.
